Product Use & Training

FAQ's

It’s the first dog bed designed for use on the master bed, giving your pup a cozy space beside you without crowding your sleep.

Most dogs use it right away. If not, a little encouragement and treats help.

Some dogs take to it instantly; others may need a week or two with gentle training. But results can vary depending on the nature of your dog and their past experiences sleeping on the bed with you.

The most common experience will be that your pet will start the night off in the Denmate, then move to the floor later in the night only to return back to the Denmate before morning. This is normal. However, if your pet has a history of walking around the bed at night or sleeping at the top of the bed, you will have to work to correct those behavior habits.

The Denmate was designed for single occupancy:) This is not to say that it won’t work for two. Two small dogs can share comfortably. However if you have two large dogs, whichever dog gets to the bed first will get to sleep in the Denmate. But that would depend on their current behavior and experiences.

The Denmate is designed for dogs up to ~85 lbs. Larger dogs may find it snug. If you’re unsure, the best solution is to place your dog on your bed between two pillows 16 inches apart to check your pets comfort level.

Most owners place it in the center, 6–12 inches from the foot of the bed. For couples that like to cuddle, the Denmate can be placed on the side of the bed either at the top or bottom depending on your dog’s current sleeping pattern.
